I have had people look at this picture and quickly identify it as Wind River Canyon in Wyoming.  That is how impressive this view can be as a car also drives through it.  The road can be seen here on the upper right.   The river, the road and the railroad tracks run along this cavernous  highway for miles.  Imagine the engineering it took to get all three to twist and turn through the canyon walls.  Each canyon wall is under a different lighting condition – most of the time!  It is a beautiful drive – and not too far to take in a day!
