Fancy dancy woodwork on the staircase at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.  Well known to my Colorado friends – maybe not so much in New York.  This is the hotel where The Shining was filmed.  I need to watch the movie again and see if the balusters appear!  No sign here of ghosts or scary incidents.  One of my favorite roles by Jack Nicholson – my all time favorite being One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.  Not sure which came first?
