If I was so struck by how this wintery shoreline resembled the beadwork of our indigenous people, I can’t help but wonder if they too found inspiration here.  It is so easy to picture the little red and blue and yellow and green beads of a belt or sash.  In reality, just ice patches as the shoreline meets the water.  Quite beautiful!
