One of the most common blossoms on the eastern plains – paper thin white flowers on a prickly and sticky stalk! And usually full of ants!  Other than that, they are quite lovely!  The transluscence of the petals remind me of oyster shells and the pearl, though yellow,  sits inside like a treasure.
