I am posting this month’s cards as the Greeley Stampede and Rodeo are in full swing so thought I would share perhaps my favorite rodeo photograph – from the smaller but equally exciting rodeo in Grover, Colorado.  My brother Jay and I would sit just next to the chutes on the dirt for literally hours snapping pictures but waiting until we were home again to find out whether we had caught any action.  Often enough it would be just a tail disappearing out of the frame!  But I love this moment when the horse is free of his rider and he is ready to exit the ring in celebration.
