One of four images from a favorite spot in Rye, New York – Wetlands  Conservancy – which I visited with friends on an annual basis.  Since they have moved away, my series is probably at an end but the four images are favorites – others can be seen in my website card category for landscape and New York.  This lovely spot was slammed with fourteen feet of water in Hurricane Sandy.  Nature’s resilience is amazing and I am grateful for all the beautiful things that I see which may have undergone great and dramatic change over time.  Once again I am reminded that the gifts of beauty that we see are only moments in time.
