The rule of thumb for the growth of corn in my country is that it should be knee high by the fourth of July.  This year, the corn in my country is chest high by the Fourth of July!  We had a wet spring!  Truth be told, this photograph was taken LAST year and is the field directly behind my house.  I DID wander out into this field and I DID hear the corn growing.  It must have been even louder out there this year!  I like to think the clouds are good karma too.
