Around the corner from the beautiful facade of St. Mary Star of the Sea Cathedral in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  This side of the building sits in the shade and the sun is slow to dry rain and snow – thus the colors on the materials differ and pop!  As I post these pictures for January I can’t help but notice the similarity of colors with the Painted Desert.  Hardly the same explanation!
