Okay – a concession to the season – a pumpkin in a window in Brooklyn.  Surely not the biggest pumpkin of them all…but prominent in my loving depiction of the city.  Red Hook, Brooklyn, is as fascinating and rewarding an area to walk around in as my neighboring mountains and grasslands in Colorado and certainly as full of surprises.  I have not seen a moose there yet…but will continue to look for one and NEVER say NEVER.
