One of many houses and rooftops in “decline” in my rural area.  Beyond stories of early settlers and family farming but somehow sitting proudly on a hill overlooking a nearby community where once there were groceries, banking, farm equipment dealerships, barbers, lumber – not to mention a hotel, school and community center for talent shows and dances.  Not a ghost town.  But this particular homestead may be beyond saving.
