The Earl Anderson Memorial Rodeo in Grover Colorado is the best little show around.  Small enough that one can sit on the dirt at the rail fence as close to the action as you would dare.  Ready for the occasional ducking as the hooves and the dirt fly.  Be alert!  This year the blue sky and puffy clouds made a great backdrop for the colorful riders and the drama in the ring.   By the end of the day, both the rodeo animals and the clouds might have been declared the winners –  but for those of us who travel there every year…it was perfect.   May I take this opportunity to recommend seeing a movie made last year called The Rider.
