Most of the cranes will have moved south by this time in November.  It was a special treat to find some of them lagging behind in the grasses which in themselves have turned seasonally colorful.  I actually took pictures of just the grasses on this day – without the cranes!  But these are Colorado cranes and they hang out in LaSalle, slightly south of my hometown of Greeley.  I look for them there often, but am not always this lucky!
