Westcliffe is known to be a good place to witness dark skies and various events in the heavens.  During the day, the countryside is worth the trip down there alone.  Multiple mountain ranges, sun and clouds moving across the fields and alternating bands of grasses, agriculture, livestock, foothills and the occasional ranch outbuilding.  This scene could be replicated in three different directions as one comes down off a hillside and into the valley.
