Wind River Canyon is one of the most beautiful passages in the west.  I  could have left this as a splashy autumn colored tree…but my vision here was instead to remove all the contrasts of color and show off this tree as pale against the grey rocks.  Forgive my “photoshopping” and my concept!  Call it a pastel palette. For perspective, you can see the tiny railroad tracks down at the bottom of the hill.  Because the wind was blowing so hard, each leaf looks like the stroke of a paint brush by Van Gogh!
